COOKING & CRAFTING · FIELD GUIDE

Recipes: choose the station before the ingredients.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Use the Cooking Table for preparation, then the correct cooking station for the finished dish. On 1.0.50.0, Leather is the Cooking Table prerequisite. Match the station, item state and version before spending another batch.[1][4]

Choose the menu for the job

The station roles below follow NPC Tips’ October 15 release-file table (build 25955406). Use them to pick a menu, not as a promise that an undiscovered recipe is already unlocked.[1]

Keep preparation and cooking separate

  1. Read the required item name: raw pizza and baked pizza are different objects.
  2. Prepare components at the Cooking Table, then take the raw item to its cooking station.
  3. For a fire-mounted station, check the Campfire underneath when progress stops. The Oven uses its own Coal.
  4. Take the completed item before leaving it unattended on the Rotisserie.

NPC Tips’ cooking analysis describes the fuel/progress dependency and burning on an unattended Rotisserie. Its old Corn unlock text predates the official Leather change below; do not apply that old prerequisite to 1.0.50.0.[2]

The three dishes are launch-player reports, not a list of every possible soup substitution. The pizza row is file analysis. No buff ranking or guaranteed boss outcome is inferred from them.

1.0.50.0 changes that can look like missing recipes

The official October 21 notes change the Cooking Table prerequisite from Corn to Leather, move Grappling Hook crafting to the inventory and Hook crafting to the Workbench, and correct the Bean Soup tip. They also set several cooked-food stacks to one, including Cooked Veggies. Check your installed build before treating a changed menu or stack as a failed recipe.[4]
